Valentine's Day Party Ideas

THE INVITATIONS

Why not send your Valentine guests an invitation that they can eat?  Purchase small heart shaped boxes of assorted chocolates and attach your invitations to the top of the boxes.  For a decorative touch, trace the outline of the top of the box and cut a paper doily to match the size; then put your invitation message on slightly smaller heart shapes cut out of colored paper; paste together, and attach to the top of the boxes.  You could also put your invitation message on boxes of conversation hearts.  Ask your guests to come to the party dressed in red & white and to wear any heart jewelry or accessories that they might have, then you can give a prize out to the guest wearing the most hearts.

THE ARRIVAL

Welcome your guests by giving them each a name card to wear that have hearts and a joke written on it.  The jokes make great conversation starters for your guests and the name cards can later be used for a game called “Steal My Heart.”  Then for something for your guests to do while waiting for the rest of the guests to arrive, you can send them over to a nearby table to guess the number of hearts that are in a jar.

PARTY GAMES & ACTIVITIES

PASS THE HEART

Divide your guests equally into groups of 5 to 10 and have them form straight lines.   Give the first person in each line a long Valentine necklace (one that goes down to the waist-a red heart tied onto some yarn works just fine).   Give the participants a few minutes to figure out how to pass the necklace to the next person in line using only their head (no hands allowed); then start the game.  The first person in line transfers the necklace to the next person using only their head, the process continues until the necklace makes it to the last person in line; once the necklace makes it to the last person they send it back through the line in the reverse order until the first person has the necklace again.  The first group to complete the game is the winner.  Give the winning team $10,000 in Tupper Bucks and the losing team $5,000 or give them gadgets out of the game bags.  Something nicer for the winners like a pastry server and a smidget and give the losers a smidget.

KISS ME QUICK

Hide Hershey Kisses around the room and have your guests race to see who can find the most kisses.  This is a great game to have at an Open House.

STEAL MY HEART

This is a fun game to play for when your guests will be seated for a period of time.  This is also a great game because it gives your guests a reason to look around to see who else is at the party and keeps everyone socializing.  The rules for this game are simple and fun . . . don't cross your legs or you'll have your heart stolen by the first person who notices!  Once your heart has been stolen (your name tag) you're out of the game.  Those stealing another person's heart must stick or pin the stolen heart onto their clothing.  The person who has the most hearts at the end of the party wins.  Again, award the winner either Tupper Bucks or a game bag gadget.

GUESS THE NUMBER OF HEARTS

Count out several candy conservation hearts or cinnamon hearts and place them in a Mini-Rectangular Modular Mates 1 and whoever comes the closest to the actual number wins the Tupperware and the candy.

GUESS THE NAME TAG

Create some name tags with words that relate with Valentine's Day.  Examples of words are hearts, flowers, red, white, pink, and love.  You will then tape this to people's backs.  But they cannot look for their names.  They must not find out what word is on their tag until the game starts.  Everyone goes around the room and gives clues about the “Valentine Word” on their backs.  The game continues until everyone finds what his or her tags say.  This can be used as an ICEBREAKER since everyone will win.  Give $5,000 in Tupper Bucks just for participating.

LOVE IN GAME

Ask the guests if they have ever been to a Love in.  Of course the answer will be no.  Then say, well tonight we are going to have one.  I want you to choose a partner and it can't be your Sister or Mother.  Now I'm going to give you a piece of paper that you need to number 1-15.  Now turn back to back with that person-now rub your shoulders together.  Then ask, “Doesn't that feel good?”  Don't turn around and don't look at the person on your back.  Now I'm going to ask you 15 questions and you must not cheat.

What color of hair does your partner have?
How many rings does your partner have on?
Does your partner have any jewelry around their neck?
Is your partner wearing shoes or sandals?
Is your partner wearing anything that buttons?
Does your partner have nail polish on?
What basic color is your partner wearing?
How many children does your partner have?
Does your partner have a purse with them?
Is your partner wearing a watch?
Does your partner have on earrings or not?
What color are your partner's eyes?
Is your partner wearing hose, socks, or none?
Does your partner have a part in their hair?
This is the most important one of all-Does the person to your back smile with their teeth in or out?  The only way you can find this out is to turn around and smile at each other.

Now let's check out our answers and find out who has the most right?
This is another game that can be played as an ICEBREAKER or use to give out Tupper Bucks or small gadgets.

DRAW A HEART

Have guests hold a piece of paper on their heads and draw a heart.  After doing this, draw an arrow through the heart and write, “I Love You” on the heart.

WISH LISTS FOR SIGNIFICANT OTHERS

RECIPES

ROSEMARY CHICKEN

3 lb. Cut-up chicken
1 tbl. Season Salt
1 tsp. Pepper
1 tsp. Rosemary
1 pkg. Onion soup mix
1 c. dry white wine
¾ c. hot water

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Wash chicken pieces and pat dry.  Sprinkle with season salt, pepper, and rosemary.  Place in a lightly greased 3 qt. Casserole dish.  You cannot use the Oven Works® for this because the oven will be too hot.  Sprinkle onion soup mix over chicken, and pour wine evenly over all chicken.  Cover and bake for 40 minutes.  Lower temperature to 325 degrees and add hot water.  This is when you can use your Oven Works®.  Bake uncovered for 35 minutes or until done.

WILD RICE

1 small can of mushrooms
1 tbl. Butter or margarine
1 6 oz. pkg. Long grain and wild rice
Water

Drain mushrooms, saving the liquid.  Add water to mushroom liquid to make 2-1/2 cups.  Combine liquid, butter or margarine, rice, enclosed seasoning packet, and mushrooms in a medium saucepan.  Mix well.  Bring to a boil, lower heat, cover and simmer for 25-30 minutes or until done.

CUCUMBER SALAD DRESSING

1 peeled and chopped cucumber (great practice for the TW chopper)
1 chopped onion (also great practice for the TW chopper)
2 tbl. Lemon juice
2 c. mayonnaise
1 tsp. season salt
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 drops green food coloring

Combine all ingredients in an electric blender.  Cover and blend for 2-3 minutes or until smooth.  Chill well.  Serve over tossed mixed greens.

DESSERT

1 pkg. Strawberry Jell-O
1 c. hot water
1 c. frozen strawberries
1 pt. Vanilla ice cream

Blend all ingredients with an electric mixer.  Fill parfait dishes.  (TW does have these) Chill. Then serve.  You can also garnish with whipped cream and cherries.

CHOCOLATE DIPPED STRAWBERRIES

24 large strawberries
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tsp. Shortening
Wax paper

Line a cookie sheet with wax paper.  Rinse strawberries; pat dry.  In a Tupperware CrystalWaveTM bowl, place chocolate chips and shortening.  Stirring every 30 seconds, microwave on HIGH until chocolate is melted, 1 to 2 minutes.  Dip half of each strawberry in melted chocolate.  Place on wax paper lined cookie sheet.  Refrigerate until chocolate is set.  Makes 24.

VALENTINE'S DAY

Give everyone a piece of paper and tell him or her to write VALENTINE'S DAY at the top of his or her paper.  Use the letters in Valentine's Day to make as many words as you can.  There is one catch though; you have to have at least 4 letters or more.  The person who wins will receive a small gift or Tupper Bucks.  You have two minutes after I say go.

ABC's

Opposite each item that is listed below write a word that begins with the same letter.  For example, if the leader of the game chooses the letter “C” you could write “Cadillac” for a car and “Johnny Carson” for a celebrity.  Any letter may be selected for the game.  The object is to make your list as different from the others as possible.  The reason for this is when you total your score.  If no one else has given the same name to an item, it counts for 1 point, if two people have the same name it counts for 2 points, if three have the same answer it counts for 3 points and so on.  For each one you are unable to answer add 10 points to your score.  The person with the lowest score wins.

COTTON BALLS

Give everyone a spoon and a bowl (make all spoons and bowls equal sizes).  Next, they get a bag of cotton balls that has been opened all the way across the top.

They put the bowls on their head and dip their spoon into the bag of cotton balls.  They then try to fill their bowl with as many cotton balls as possible.

The person(s) with the fullest bowl wins.

BABE OR BABY

Have everyone number his or her paper from 1-10.  Ask the following questions.  The one with the most right answers wins.  All answers will have the word Babe or Baby in them.

Recent movie about a pig.  (BABE)
A small piano.  (BABY GRAND)
Another name for the flower gypsophilia.  (BABY'S BREATH)
Love and marriage go together like a …  (BABY CARRIAGE)

Cute little, not quite grown up face.  (BABY FACE)
Someone who cries a lot.  (CRY-BABY)
Temporary children care person.  (BABY SITTER)
 Gangster Nelson.  (BABY FACE NELSON)

BOTTLE BABIES

Fill small baby bottles half full with kool-aid or punch.  Give one to each guest.  The first person to empty the bottle (sucking it through the nipple) wins.  It's a riot and a lot harder than you might think.  After the shower, thoroughly wash and dry the bottles and the mom to be and the grandmas have a stash of bottles to get started.

DECORATE THE NURSERY GAME

Everyone sits in a circle.  The first person announces, (“name of mother-to-be” and the mother-to-be is having a baby and the nursery needs,” (name an item for the nursery beginning with the letter A.)  The next person begins with the same sentence repeating the item beginning with the letter A and adds an item beginning with the letter B.  Continue down the alphabet until someone misses an item and is out of the game.  The last person left is the winner.  Just for fun have them name all the items.

IT'S IN THE BAG

For this game you will need:

10 different baby related items.  Here are just a few suggestions: pacifier, baby powder, bottle brush, bottle nipple, baby shoe, stuffed animal, thermometer, bib, jar of food, and a nose syringe.
10 paper bags

Put each item in a paper bag.  Staple, tape, or tie the bags closed and number them.  Give every player a sheet of paper and an ink pen and have them number their paper 1-10.

Pass the bags around to each guest.  Let them feel the outside of the bags and try to guess what's inside.  Ask them to write down their guesses next to the number on their paper.

After the bags have been passed around, ask the guests to announce their guesses.  Then let the mother-to-be open the bags and reveal the true contents.  The person with the most correct answers wins.

GUESSING GAME

Get a baby bottle and fill it with cotton swabs (safety pins, cotton balls, jelly beans, etc.) anything that is difficult to count.  Make sure you know how many are in there.  Have the guest put their number on apiece of paper and then go around the room and ask how many they guessed.  Give the winner a nice gift like a candy jar with the same thing in the jar.  Give the bottle to the mother-to-be.

YOU'VE NEVER

You will need to let guests know to bring some pocket change for this game.  Go around the room and have your guests' name something they have never done (visited another country, been surfing, etc.) and everyone that has done that has to put a coin in baby bottle bank for the new baby.

BABY ITEM TRAY

Place several baby items on a tray.  Present the tray to the guests for 15 seconds.  Then hide the tray and have them write down the baby items they remember.  The guest with the most right wins!

Pass out index cards to each guest and ink pen and have each guest write down one common baby question.  (Ex:  “What do you do when a baby cries?” Or “How do you get a baby to sleep all night?”)  Then you collect the cards and redistribute them face down (so no one can see the question) and have each guest write down the answer to their initial question on the blank side.  Then read the cards and laugh as you get questions and silly answers.  (Ex: “What do you do when a baby cries?” and the answer may be something like “Shake it up down until it is ready.”)

GREAT BABY GIFT IDEAS

First I went through the catalog and thought of every product from a baby's point of view.  How can it be used for a baby, how could a baby use it, etc.  Next, I made a list of those uses and products.

Now there are basically three ways to do this:

1)  Have all the guests purchase products in advance.  Then at your party you demo them and tell what it is and how to use it both for the baby and then how to use it after the baby is too big for it (so it doesn't become one of those “gee, after the baby grows up I won't use it anymore” items).  After the explanations you put the item in a HUGE gift bag as you go.  Then at the end of the demo you give the new mommy the bag and tell her everything is for her.  You can also throw in the “free goodies.”  (Ex: An item from the games listed above such as it's In The Bag, and the Baby Tray Game.)

2)  Bring your own stuff to the demo and then have the guests order after the demo.

3)  Ask the new mommy to choose what she wants from the catalog, by going through it with her-giving her a private demo of some items with all the explanations.  Then send a list to all her guests so they can order what she wants.

And DON'T FORGET

Bring a kit or kit information so the new mother can be a stay at home mom and not lose all her money to a baby-sitter.

BOO-BOO BUNNY

Take a washcloth and fold it in half along the diagonal…you should be looking at a triangle.  Start with the small point and roll toward the long side.  Fold you roll in half and then in half again.  Put a rubber band around it in the middle.  Fluff up the ears by tying a small ribbon around them and then place a midget (ahem) up the middle.  You fill the midget with juice and freeze…when a little person has boo-boo you place the bunny on it and when the juice has melted they can drink it.

RECIPES

BABY WIPES RECIPE

Take a roll of Bounty paper towels and cut it in half.  Put half of it away for the next time.  Take the Bread Baker's Delight from Tupperware and take out the insert.  Take the cardboard out of the paper towels.  Put three cups warm water in the Bread Baker's Delight and 1 TBS of Baby Oil.  Then add either 2 TBS. of Baby Shampoo or 3 TBS. of Baby Magic Bath.  Take the paper towels and add them to the mix, then shake the container to get the liquid on the paper towels.  Pull the baby wipes from the middle of the roll not the out side.  Then they will pull off one at a time and not unravel.

Bridal
BridalShower  Ideas

Tupperware
Decorations

Bridal Centerpiece:

Take a piece of netting or tooling, place flat on table.
Take the 12 c. Tupperware Wonderlier Bowl or large bowl with the seal on it, and turn it upside down on top of the netting, in the center.
Take the 8 c. Wonderlier with seal on it, and place right side up on top of the 12 c. centered.
Take the 6 c. Wonderlier with seal on it, and place upside down on the 8 c.
Make a face from colored paper.  Lips and closed eyes (like lashes).
Tape onto the 6 c. bowl to make the face.
Take the One Touch Salt/Pepper Shakers and tape them to the side of the 8 c. for arms.
Then take and old corsage or sprig of flowers and place them between the hands and tape into place.
Now gather the netting up on top of the 6-cup bowl.  Use a ribbon or twist tie to gather it all together.  Then take the excess and spread around the “Bride”, trim the front for a veil, just below the face.  Then trim the back for the train.
That's it!!!!!!!!!!  Use corresponding colors for the wedding with the ribbon and flowers.

Bridal Bouquet:

Make a bouquet (using wedding colors) out of large game goodies (one with holes in the handle work great by stringing colored ribbon through them all and tying a bowl in front.  Give to Bride-to-Be stating, “Every BRIDE needs a Bouquet.”  Then describe each item to her.

Bridal Tree:

Take a tree branch (use a fake one that you can use for other things such as Christmas, Easter, etc.) and stick into a pot with some florist clay.  Twist tie a few fake flowers around to decorate it.  Then take 3 x 5 index cards; glue the pictures from the catalog of the items that the host has selected on one side and write on the other side: name____________; address_______________, and favorite tip on a successful marriage___________________________________.  Take curling ribbon on each end of index cards so that you can hang them on the tree.  Each guest takes a card off the tree when they arrive, buys the item (along with what they want) and fills out the back so that it can be delivered with their gift.  With the info on the back the Bride-to-Be has her thank you list and some great advice.  You can read these at the shower for some laughs.

Goodie Bag for Bride:

In a colored gift bag have some “SPECIAL GOODIES” for the Bride-to-BE.

2 Smidgets
His and Her Suitcases for Lingerie
2 Melon Ballers
These are your cellular phones so you can always call each other
2 CrystalWave Soup Mug Key chains
Put a quarter and a dime inside each for when you want to hear each other's voice

What is her favorite restaurant?
Who is her favorite actor?
Who is her favorite actress?
What is her favorite song?
What is her favorite movie?

WIN, LOSE, OR DRAW

The only supplies you need are those cardboard pieces that come in your Tupperware® boxes and a marker.

Split the party into two teams.  On slips of paper write words associated with weddings and of course you need to use Tupperware®.  Examples: pew, aisle, father-in-law, veil, cummerbund, honeymoon, etc………

Teams take turns.  One person picks a slip out of a Mix `N Stor Plus Pitcher then draws to see if their teammates can guess.  They get 30 seconds and if after 30 seconds, no one has guessed, the other team gets a chance to guess.  Point is awarded to the team who guesses correctly.  At the end, add up the points.  Winning team gets prize (something like a funnel or cake slicer) and they get to go eat first.

Making the Dress & Veil

Divide the group up into 2 teams-give each team some tape & a bunch of tissue paper.  Each team is in charge of making the bride's gown-one team takes the front & the other takes the back using just the paper and the tape-NO SCISSORS.  Have someone bring the veil and bouquet and take a picture of the bride for her memory book in her tissue dress.  It will be lots of fun.

Story

Have the first person write down a descriptive adjective.
2nd…a color.
3rd…a size
4th…an adjective
5th…an adjective
6th…a place
7th…an adjective
8th…an automobile
9th…a color
10th…an adjective
11th…an adjective
12th…a number
13…a food

Have each guest keep their word and as you read the story and come to a blank, they fill in the blank with the word they have written down.

The story:

It seems the (Bride's name) is going to be married soon.  We have been snooping around and found out that her 1st husband is so very fond of the color 2nd that (Bride's name) is going to have a 3 piece suit made in size 3rd for him.  We hear that the 4th bride and the 5th groom plan on going to 6th for their 7th honeymoon, so they will need a 8th to get them there.  Their 9th house will be located on the 10th street.  We know they will be very 11th and they hope to have 12th children, and spend all their spare time eating 13th.

Candy Guess

Find or buy a cute container and fill it up with candy or anything having to do with the wedding or shower.  Give the container and the candy to the one who comes closest.

Changing Gifts

This game can be played at a Christmas or Birthday party.  You need lots of floor space to play this game.  Get everyone in a circle on the floor and placed some wrapped gifts in the center.  You probably want a few less than you have guests.  (Have a goody bag for those who don't get a gift.)  Wrap gifts in different size boxes and also different colored wrapping paper.  Use really cheap jokes or items you can get at The Dollar Tree.  Use a couple of nicer gifts like bath beads or picture frames, which can also be gotten at The Dollar Tree.  Set a timer for 10 minutes or longer if you have more than 15 people.  Let the Bride-to-be start first and roll a pair of dice and she if rolls a double she gets to take a gift out of the center.  Then start passing the dice around the center.  Anyone that gets doubles can take a gift.  Once all the prizes from the center are gone the guests can start to take gifts from the other guests, when they roll doubles.  Keep passing the dice around until the timer goes off.  Whoever, has the gift at the end gets to keep it!  Go ahead and give out game bags so every one will have something to help.  NONE of the gifts can be opened until the timer goes off at the end!

Touchy-Feely

You can use paper or cloth bags, so that the guests are able to feel the item.  Find about 10-15 common items around the house (Ex: toothbrush, hair brush, comb, ink pen, etc.) and place the items in each bag.  Pass the items around for the guests to feel.  They're allowed 15-30 seconds to hold the bag, then they must pass to the next guest.  They should have a pen and paper to write down their guesses.  The guest with the most correct answers wins.

Complete the Sentence

Each guest should receive a piece of paper with the following sentences that need to be completed.  Time limit should only be 5 minutes.

1.  A woman's work……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………is never done.
2.  A happy house………………………………………………………………………………………………………………is full of laughter.
3.  Behind every great man……………………………………………………………………………………is a successful woman.
4.  A woman's place…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………is in the home.

15.  A penny saved……………………………………………………………………………………………………………is a penny earned.
16.  Home is……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………where the heart is.
17.  Too many cooks………………………………………………………………………………………………………………spoil the broth.

Draw It

Give everyone a piece of paper and an ink pen or pencil.  Have them place the piece of paper on their head and draw what they think the bride will look like on her wedding day.  The drawing needs to be as detailed as possible including train, veil and jewelry that the bride may be wearing.  After they finish their drawing have them put their name on the drawing and give to the Bride-to-be to judge and also as a keepsake from her Bridal Shower.

Safety Pin

This game can also be used at a baby shower.  You will need a bag of rice, safety pins and a blindfold.  Put the rice (large grain works the best) in a large mixing bowl with seal and mix in the safety pins.  You will need about 50 small or medium safety pins.  Place the blindfold on each person, as they get ready to go and give them 30 seconds to grab as many safety pins as they can.  The person who gets the most wins a prize.

Who Knows the Bride Best?

Have the Bride-to-be fill out an info sheet on her.  (Ex.  Favorite food, restaurant, pet, place she wants to live…etc.)  Altogether she should have about 20 things listed and then you ask the guests the questions.  (Ex.  If the bride could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?)  Have the guests answer as they think the Bride-to-be would.

When they are done filling out their forms, read one name for each letter.  The person who matches the most wins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Betty Boop Game
When you mention Betty, part of the group stands up and says: Boop-Boop-De-Do.

When you mention Popeye, that part of the group stands up and says: Well, blow me down!

When you mention the word Wolf, that part of the group stands up and says: Grrrrrrr, Grrrrrrr.  (In a rough voice)

Divide guests into three groups and tell them what to do:

Then Read:

Once upon a time there was a charming young lady named Betty who was loved by a sailor called Popeye.  Betty lived in a great forest in which there roamed a big Wolf.  One day Betty decided to visit her grandmother who lived in the heart of the forest.  Popeye urged Betty not to into the forest where the Wolf lived, but Betty would not let Popeye accompany her, and she wanted to go alone.  I'm not afraid of the big bad Wolf, said Betty, as she started out with her basket on her arm, but when she entered the forest and saw the eyes of the Wolf gleaming at her behind a tree, she was sorry Popeye was not with her.  The Wolf followed Betty step by step getting closer and closer and behind him came Popeye.  Just as the Wolf was about to spring on Betty, Popeye felled him with his trusty club and saved Betty's life.  Popeye, My hero, you have killed the Wolf and saved my life, said Betty as she fell fainting in his arms.  Thus ends the story of Popeye, Betty-Boop, and the big, bad Wolf.

Adjective Game
(Like Mad Libs®)

Have guests give you 10 adjectives and then fill in the blanks.

Hello,

I represent YOUR COMPANY NAME , the _________ company in the world.  We sell the ___________ products.  I am pleased to be in this _____________ home today.  We must admit we have a _____________ hostess.  Of all the groups I have ever held a presentation for you by far the ____________.  And once again I want to thank our _____________ hostess for inviting me into her home this evening.  I am sure by the end of the evening you will agree I am the ________________ sales person you have ever met.  I do hope that you have such a good time that you will invite me into your ____________ home, so that you can receive some of our YOUR PRODUCTS NAME  free.  Now I will continue with our presentation because afterwards our hostess will be serving some _________________ refreshments.

Toilet Paper Game

Take a roll of Toilet Paper and pass it around.  Tell guests to “take as much as they think they need.”  Then have guests tell one thing about themselves for every square they took.  If they take 10 squares they have to tell ten things about themselves.  At Halloween, you can do it with candy corn.

It's In The Bag

This game can also be used at a Bridal or Baby Shower.  Take a paper bag and put one small gift in it.  Explain to guests you are going to count to a 100 and that they must continue to pass the bag around the room.  Whoever ends up with the bag when you finish counting must model the item in the bag. You could use a small Teddy Bear and tell them it is a teddy in the bag and that they must model it.  They will throw the bag faster and faster.  At the end give them a piece of Tupperware® for playing along and being such a good sport.

The Paper Bag Game

You need enough paper bags for everyone in the room.  You have each person put a paper bag over his or her head and you say:

THIS IS A GAME OF SILENCE.  Now, if you were on a sinking ship at sea, and had to remove things that were on you that were unnecessary, what would it be?  Whatever you don't need, please remove now.  Some people will figure out right away to take off their bag, while others will take off their shoes, jewelry, and clothes.  When it looks as if they have taken off everything they can and still be decent, ask the guests that still have bags on their head if they thought about
taking off the bag on their head.

Pick or Pass Game

This game is similar to the key chain game.  Fix up envelopes and fill them with different prizes.  Use 6 that say congratulations you are having a party, 1 that says $10 off your order, 1 that says free gift, 1 that says win a free grab bag, and 1 that says I will pay your $2.00 handling fee.

At the end of the presentation, each guest gets to pick an envelope or pass.  No one can open their envelope until everyone has had a chance to pick or pass.  The rule is they have to do what the paper inside their envelope says (like the key chain game)

For the grab bag use 4 or 5 of the nicer game bag gifts.

Replace Your Husband Game

Have each guest write down one item in their household that they would like to replace and then five reasons why.  Next, have them scratch out the household item and replace it with the name of their husband or significant other.  Each person then reads their list like this…”I want to replace Dexter because”…and then read their five reasons.  This is a good icebreaker and puts everyone into a good mood.

Right & Left Game (#2)

This is the story of two close friends, Mrs. Rightmyer and Mrs. Leftmore.  On the same day, both ladies received an invitation to a YOUR COMPANY NAME party.  Right away, they each phoned the hostess to RSVP.  The hostess let them know that at the party they would see great new products and that they should be sure to bring a friend.
Mrs. Rightmyer called Mrs. Leftmore right to ask if they could drive together.  Mrs. Leftmore thought that would be a great idea, after all, her home was only two doors left of Mrs. Rightmyer's.  Mrs. Rightmyer
Called the hostess right back to check the directions.  She was sure to write them right down so she and Mrs. Leftmore would not get lost.
When the night arrived, Mrs. Leftmore met Mrs. Rightmyer right at 6:45, as they both wanted to be right on time.  They left the phone number where they could be reached and left for the show.  Mrs. Leftmore read the directions as Mrs. Rightmyer drove: they were to go 3 miles and make a right at the light, go over a bridge, make a second right (where the deli was on the left) and the hostess' home would be the fifth house on the right.  Sure enough, they arrived right at 6:55.
The hostess let them in and told them to make themselves right at home.  They were surprised at how many new items were available for the New Year-there was the right gift at the right price for every occasion.  The consultant left nothing to the imagination as she explained all of the uses of each piece.  Mrs. Rightmyer fell in love with the YOUR PRODUCT HERE that was on special for ____________.  She wanted two sets one for her and one for Mrs. Leftmore's birthday that was coming up.
As Mrs. Rightmyer listened to the hostess program, she realized that she could get both sets YOUR PRODUCT HERE for free, if she hosted a YOUR COMPANY NAME  Party right in her own home.  Both ladies had fun playing the Right and Left Game, but Mrs. Leftmore was impressed at how much fun the consultant was having!  The consultant had shared lots of information about the income opportunity.  Now Mrs. Leftmore was starting to wonder if this could be right for her . . .it had been a long time since she and Mr. Leftmore had left for vacation and here was an opportunity to earn one free!  Her hours could be based right around her family.  What harm could it do to ask for information?  She was pleased to hear she could attend a Sales Rally right away and was more than welcome to bring Mrs. Rightmyer.
Well, the party was over and it was time to go home, but both knew they had made the right decision to attend.
